For all professional services I would say its ok, if its not shown wearing a job suit.
If its under your shirt / clothes I say no problem.
But having a police man with a tatoo on his neck or a security guard with tatoos on his hands would be impossible atleast in Scandinavia.
Whats not shown its not bother anyone..

When we trained close protection operatives its a demand from us that no tatoos are shown while wearing a suit, since this is often the requirements from the client.
Its not right to train a person that dont have the possibillity to get work.
Hm unless its a hard rock group ofcourse who is the client Lol*
