Hi all, First post on here ! so here goes !

Having submitted over 300 + application forms for SG, DS,CCTV to the SIA, the advice I would give to people that are doing a course that they know the dates of and that many people are booked on the course confirmed. "so there is no chance the course will be cancelled" I would send the of the form as soon as I get it, you only need to put the month and year you did the course and the awarding body, along with your personal details and ID requested. If you are joining a Company they will have the forms all ready, so this will only be for those of you doing it independantly.

By the time the SIA get it scanned on the system, check your ID then look to check your qualification, by this time you would have sat the exam the results posted, so the SIA can cross check this with the awarding bodies, the fastest awarding body I have seen so far for results is BIIAB, although only needing to get 28 out of 40 questions right !is a walk in the park for many without the training.

Don't think that by doing this you will get your Licence any quicker ! but then again you might ! the one thing I know with the SIA they are not very consistant they never do two things the same, I had 1 chaps go through in 4 weeks ! start to badge in his hand, just had another apply for his badge in nov 07 just got his badge last week !

Any way that's my bit for now
