Hello Mark.

To work as a CPO employed as a civilian within the UK you require your SIA CP license. In order to qualify for your SIA license you are required to complete 150hrs of CP training provided by a CP training company(There are hundreds up and down the country)

You then are required to pass an SIA knowledge test. Once you've jumped through all these hoops you can submit your application for your SIA licence together with evidence of first aid training.

Certain courses automatically 'fast track' you through the SIA licence application procedure. This includes SF CP courses/RMP CP course/SB CP.

For more info Mark have a good dig around through the threads.

All the best mucker.

CM
