any security background is a bonus, it will all make sense whichever course you choose
Regarding employment - its all up to you to get your name on the circuit - there is plenty of work in the UK and Dubai is looking at the moment
Its up to you buddy
add up the costs and make sure you get the BTEC Level 3 for Close Protection - that makes you a team leader!
Good Luck

Well that is the best one i have seen yet, Btec Level 3 makes you a TL. What a load of Bollocks, experience makes you a good TL not a piece of paper. If this is what people are told then the industry needs a good kick up the arse.
As to all the work in the UK at the moment, things are still relativly quiet although I do know of some work that is going on at the moment but it is fully staffed before anybody starts asking.
As for the firearms part unless you are going to work the pit or afgan it is a good jolly for you as the chances of you carrying in the UK or Europe will be nil. Learn to use a phone because it will be the main weapon that you have at your disposal.
Sorry to be a hard nose but it is about time that things are put right. There are guys on this forum who have years of experience behind them and are working at present who have no interest in being TL's but at least they do not rely on a piece of paper.
If you want to read regarding experience I suggust that you read posts by MTS as he has been at the front end all his life and lives to tell. I have followed his posts on other sites as well and he always has always put good post together
