Where I work in the Northeast, we wear dress shirts, trousers and ties our badges are still clipped on a cord not a high-vis arm band, most of the customers wear T shirts making identification easer. I am defiantly not in favour of wearing a high-vis jacket; it gets hot enough in the club without adding another layer of clothing. I sometimes think that Paramedics get targeted by drunken idiots who mistake the yellow high-vis police jackets.
