Hello Guys and Gals.

I stumbled over a disturbing text while doing some research on the net...

Words matter: terms used incorrectly can cause confusion | Infantry Magazine | Find Articles at BNET

In regards to this i want to start a collection of your expiriences with such situations in theatre.

Without regards for dialects and slangs i can communicate flawless with british, american, australian, newzealand, southafrica and many other (pidgin) english speakers. I was wondering if any of you encountered any misunderstandings in tactical operations, similar to the ones adressed in the report.

...now i remember a joke i was told once..everyone with basic german will love this

A german is ordering something in a bar in New York

The German: Two Martinis please!
Bartender: dry?
The German: No, i said two!

And another nice one:

regards
