Dear Taff
You are quite right, we all have to start somewhere. Others are quite right to advise you of caution as you do not want to compromise your situation especially in a foreign country where rules & laws may differ to that of our own but with your background I am sure you have the necessary skills required.
With regards to planning, it appears to me as though it is just a basic infidelity case & I would imagine that your client would just require basic photo or video evidence to achieve her objective. Most tourists in foreign countries will carry cameras &/or video cameras & these would need no explanation at customs. If you were thinking of going as part of a team then you would need handheld radios which do require an explanation, at any airport.
You will need to plan & give good thought to your costs & expenses eg, accommodation, vehicle hire, fuel etc & you will need to make your client aware of these costs beforehand & price the job correctly.
I would imagine that you may be feeling a little apprehensive as you say that you are fairly new to the industry that is why good forward planning is required.
If you don’t take the job then you may regret not trying, if you do take the job then it may lead to greater things.
Good luck
