Looks like Marsec isn't going to be the next best thing then?

Thanks for all the info though, I know what you mean about the procedures already being in place.

I have a Transec qualification as an Aviation Security Instructor, and the procedures are there in the main, but as you said it's getting someone with the correct skill set to implement them.

As in the Maritime world, Aviation Security is often a double hatted job which kind of limits opportunities to break into it unless you have other related qualifications.
