Hello mate, hope all is ok your end, I'll quote a review from the June HECPO:
To answer your specific questions:
AMMO & RANGES: No, this has always been (4 years now) a TACTICS course with live FORCE-ON-FORCE scenarios, I would argue you can throw as much lead down a one way range as you want, until someone is shooting back, you will never get realism. The long standing question is for our scenarios and use of plastic rounds, does it work? Yes it does, the "human factor" always counts and you cannot get that factor on a one way range.
COURSE AIMED AT EX MIL: I would say honestly, yes of course, but we get many civilians coming on the full package, which includes First Aid at Work, the City & Guilds Close Protection course plus the HECPO and Live Fire, who enjoy the HECPO module and believe they learnt a great deal on it, regardless of no live firearms included on it.
6 DAYS HECPO: interesting thoughts mate, however, we do have a policy for the HECPO module, if candidates have no previous mil or CP experience they will be directed to the Close Protection course first, so the HECPO has candidates on it who have the basic qualification, hence it means the class get more TACTICAL FORCE-ON-FORCE training. Remembering also, the DS who teach are all current operators and Team Leaders from the major players.
SNOW & OFFERS: Snow..... not at all, but thanks for the suggestion
OFFERS, as always we are putting back into and supporting this forum so people can see we are transparent, approachable and above all else, the right choice as training providers
