Poor Picture Quality on CCTV System
I have had installed a CCTV system on my home (normal 2 up 2 down property) and am having trouble with the picture quality on the day/night cameras I have tried. I have tested a number of dome cameras & a bullet camera and find that during the day the live picture is reasonably good although people do not appear clearly so their faces are unrecognisable. When played back from the recorded image on the hard drive, the picture quality is worsened. In the night time the live picture is extremely poor and when that is played back it is worse still. I have been experimenting with added light for the night time but it does not seem to enhance the quality. Any ideas what the problem is? Any suggestions for an excellent camera? Do I need more LEDs on the camera? Ideally I would like my system to give a good quality detailed picture whereby an intruder could be identified.
