TheRealDave is on a distinguished road
I'm about to set up a small Surveillance system composing of three cameras and a record loop of 24 hrs. It needs to be quite low budget so I would like to spend as little as possible.

I'm not too sure how I want to go about doing this.

Wired or wireless are both options (wireless would need to be secure though so preferably wireless if the security is good).
Depending how much HD space it'll take I could hook it up to a second PC so i wont need to purchase a digital recorder.

I think I will be getting the equipment from here:
Home & Office Security - Ebuyer

as it looks the best price for that sort of equipment (prove me wrong?)

Cameras must be night vision capable but do not need to be outdoor capable. Also the cameras must be fairly covert.

I had got my mind on buying three of these:

Sumvision Wireless CCTV Colour Camera with Receiver and Infra Red Vision Capability - Ebuyer

Then hooking the receivers up to a 4 channel DVR card to place inside a pc. Then adding a few large hard drives that are capable of the 24 hr storage and and copies I may need to make.

Is this a good idea? Any better options with price in mind? I've never done anything like this before so it will be interesting to hear some comments. Thanks.

Edit: Second thoughts. May not require Night Vision!

isstraining will become famous soon enough
Dave,

Go to these people and ask for a catalogue (you may have to fax them on a letterhead asking for it) but try the phone or email first.

System Q Ltd

The catalogue is simple to read, plenty of graphics, photographs and help to set up various systems. You should be able to get what you want for around £350.00.

Cheers

Peter

Does anyone know of any good budget DVR cards for the PC? Best I have found is a Voltek DVC3004 for £75 DVC3004
