Guys,
Im searching for country maps, for a ops room
for monitoring where roads etc..are fully vissable.

Also if its possible to get maps were there is mark for accidents, incidents, attacks etc..

Also country maps with a smaller inserted (TOWN) map

Several countrys are of interest.
Mainly middle east and africa

Anyone that knows where to get them?

Hi Hawk,

Falconview is a top resource for this type of mapping ... and with the editor addition you can remove and add what you like task related.....
down side is that it is expensive.....

For the ME, Iraq and Afghan .... beg borrow and steal from the military.....

My best advice is to create your own operational map books from the country maps, cut them down and have them running in chronological order. Back this up with location specific map books and for your Ops Room all you need is a main country map, with a markable plastic cover to enable you to mark and wipe current OOB , ongoing incidents etc.... These maps can be gained with networking the Mil.

As for Incidents.... again in your interest room or Intcell ... get specific mapping of your area of operations and map pin them yourself using daily int reports etc..... this way you can create the intel for whichever purpose you require... ie a map showing Efp attacks, complex etc... the ROC /LMCC in baggers and the afghan equivilent should be able to present you with the premarked mapping accordingly.... I prefer my own !!!

Another cheat is to use the search engine trick - type in "military map iraq" etc and then go to the 'images' page not the web page. This will save you hours. As you can view the size & detail etc.
