Dear All,
I am in the process of renewing my sia CP license. Yes, hasn't 3 years flown by. Bearing in mind only 3 years ago, the SIA had received my documents such as: 2 residence utility bills passport signed passport sized photograph I have to again forward the same. I explained that my face has not changed other than extra grey hairs from dealing with the SIA and that I am still living in the same address. Oh no, they still want address history for the past 5 years. They still want my photo and they still want my passport. This is a government organisation. Is it just me or is the SIA truly a bunch of F@~*ing assholes. Rich H |

Rich,
If you dont't mind me asking how much is the renewal going to cost. First Aid at work + Cost of Exam+ Application for licence. I'm I right in thinking it could amount to over £600 Craig |

According to the sia web site there is no requirement to do a refresher course on this cycle of renewals.
I would suggest you follow your normal training requirements (renewal of FAAW) and apply as necessary. James Mc |

James is correct.
There is no requirement this time around to do any refreshing for the purposes of the license. It remains £245 for all licenses. Rich H |

They changed the goal posts on that one.......you used to get a 50% discount on renewals...........hay ho, the sia & Govt has got to get the money for all their visits to different parts of the world from somewhere.

No mate, it was always that. The 50% reduction is for a second license such as CVIT if you also require a CP one, but yes, still a rip off. Mind you, they have to pay for their new digs, very plush.
