Not abad article, just a small question, bomb disposal course? can any one provide this course and the girl is only 25, most ATO's have done some serious years to get to that position.

She's good or the reporter had some creative licence.

Consider the source of the article...a reporter. More likely it was a Ied recognition course. However, there are hazardous device schools that are 40-80 hours long. Gives you enough training to know what you don't know.

The point of the article was interesting though. These are the core topics that a good school should provide, at least in a familiarization capacity. There have been several postings concerning female CP or all female teams. Generally the consensus was that there was little need for them. Maybe this article will point out some benefits to being able to provide this service.

You took my post in the wrong way mate, it was a interesting article and it's good to see female CPO's been taken seriously.

Like i said on the post the reporter had some creative licence, thats the point that i was trying to make that's all.

No, I wasn't commenting on your post. I was agreeing that reporters use "creative license"( or they just plain make stuff up).
