Why is Krav Maga a big no no? There are many techniques that work well for civvies, they are quick and brutal and they work and they work fast, I would rather be very brutal for 5 seconds and be able to make an escape rather than have a roll around for a half an hour but still rather gentlemanly fight.

Why is Krav a big no no?? I teach Krav from the SF/ Specialist Law Enforcement level, all the way down to little grannies....

It is not, as do many people seem to think, some 'rip throat out/ stamp on b#lls' style, but is predominantly about avoidance and deflection...

There is plenty of styles of martial arts that work, its all down to acceptable law, specially while on duty.

As for being fast depends on many things like reactions and taken action. i have personally noting against Krav Maga as i have trained init myself.

Personally, I'd worry about whether I was to rough or not AFTER the event, when I'm at home with a cup of tea in my hand.

As Hippy quite rightly points out, it can be taught to little Grannies as well as SF/Specialist Law Enforcement level.

I don't wear Pj's whilst I am in my own company, but whilst I am rolling around on mat with the rest of the guys I train with, or anywhere else in public training I wear black p'js with red stripes lol. The white ones show up all the dirt, and white is not really my colour to be honest!
