Hi to all,
I have copied directly from the S.I.A. web site, just thought that most of you could do with a laugh. sia Invites the Industry to Consult on Training 31 October 2008: The Security Industry Authority (sia) is considering revising its core competency specifications, which form the basis of the qualifications linked to SIA licensing. The SIA has published proposed training content for each of the licensable activities and is inviting the private security industry to respond to the proposals. The specifications outline what an individual needs to know and be able to do in the role as a security operative. The content also includes suggestions from industry representatives, awarding bodies and Skills for Security. Response forms should be returned to the SIA by Friday 5 December, who will assess the responses and amend the proposed content according. The SIA will publish the revised documents for further consultation in early 2009. Notes to Editors:
