Hi guys

I want to get into the CP been reading a lot of posts on the site and i have picked up that it is a very competative field to get into.I suppose iam very much at a disadvantage in the sense that iam starting from the bottom rung of the ladder, that does not put me off.
I know i have to get my S.I.A Lic iam little confused by some of the Training provider sites with some of the say 21 day courses does that include the SIA lic or is that a whole different coursei have a security lic from the USA but i think that is a different situation regard SIA lic in the UK .
I was a police officer a while ago. and have done a number of unrelted jobs over the years .
Its just the S.I.A Lic thing has me a bit confused...mind you thats not hard.lol lol
Thanks for listning, any advice would be great.
Chers Chris

co19 will become famous soon enough
Chris you are going to have to do a course mate, there is a list of accredited SIA training providers on this website and on the SIA website, courses vary and last 15 to 21 days. I personally work for greymans who are one of the providers. I am sure others will recommend courses and you will get a good steer from the site. Good Luck.

Chris,

you could also check out Welcome to DSG Consultants - Reliable & Dependable . Personal Security . Quality Service . Close Protection Training . As CO19 said there are a lot providers out there some advertising complete bollocks (CTG) and not even SIA accredited.

Do your homework and find one to suit your pocket, and your realistic ambitions. Firearms is all very well if you are going to be able to use that skill. In the UK you can't, but you can do standalone firearms courses, costing less than they would on a CP course if you wanted to do this later.

Also find out who instructs on the course, if people won't tell you because they are "black ops" and actually invisible! Fuck them off, you as a potential client should have access to that info if you want it, even if it's over the phone.

This site will be able to advise and steer you away from wasting hard earned £.

Good luck.
