The sia does not deal with complaints against companies, they just license people.

If there's a problem with companies providing CP training, complaints go to the awarding bodies, eg. Edexcel and bizarrely enough crimestoppers, and they 'investigate'.

Highly ineffective...

Hi Guys

We are two years into licensing and threads like this still show that people are un aware of what they can and can not do.

The sia will not take direct action, if they have a complaint it will eventually filter through to the awarding bodies for them to deal with.

What I would recommend is for individuals to present their concerns in writing to the relevant awarding body i.e. Bucks New University, Edexcel, City & Guilds, but make sure you send into the right sector/department - this may take a phone call or two.

Be very clear as to what your complaint is. If it is an appeal about a training outcome all centres should have an appeals procedure in place if not then you can escalate if further.

All trainees should be given this information at the begining of their training programme.
