This is just a suggestion to anyone who is trying to get the funds together to do their CP course. If you dont have resettlement help (I think that is what they call it) from the services/military, and if you are civvy trying to get in to CP field. Think about asking your current employer for sponsorship, if you work within the private security industry already.

Write explaining who you are, (sometiemes those at the top have no idea of who they employ) and why you think it would be beneficial to the company if you gained this qualification. Ie explain that you will hold first aid qualification once course is completed, and how they could incorporate your skills within the company.

Make the letter formal, precise and attach some information about the company you want to do your training with, maybe the brochure. It will give them a little bit of insight as to what the training provides.

You never know until you try, you might be surprised by the response you get.

Good idea i was thinking of doing some Event Security for a company a friend of mine works for.If i work with them for a good while try get them to subsidise training...
