Default CRG (Global Embassy Contract)

With regards to the above, I've emailed CRG with reference to working on this type of job. Does anybody now what the chances are of getting an opportunity with this type of job. I saw the thread on this on here and thought Id see what the score was/is. Don't want to payout for the HEPCO course as not interested in working Iraq/Afghn.

Cheers M

My understanding is that the HEPCO course is not required. If it is then i am baffled as to why. Call CRG and see what they say. Request why the course is needed.

I now you don't need the HEPCO course, don't want to sound like a tit,but would it be best to phone them direct or will the email I sent CRG get passed to the relevent people/Dept?

Default CRG (Global Embassy)

The person you need to speak to this about is a guy called David Knowles, he runs the contract. their not recruiting for anymore staff for about 3 weeks or so. If you've sent an email i would of thought it would get passed to him, if not his email is Dave.Knowles@control-risks.com. The only positions they have is on the Saudi site, when you see him he will give the dv forms required to get onto the other sites (Moscow,Singapore,Hong Kong) understandably it's dead mans shoes, so you might have a wait before you manage to move on to one of them. The wages are the same as Saudi, around £32K, however the rotation in country is the best i've seen 4 days on 4 off. if you do get an interview etc let us know and i can get the medical forms to you(this is what delays deployment) so you can have them done beforehand.

Mate I'm not trying to teach you how to suck eggs but, don't asume that an email will get directed to the right person. Ring them.

That depends on you mate. as i understand it as long as you don't drop a bollock etc, you can do the contract for as long as you like. I don't thin many of the younger lads see it out for many years, going to the pit Afghan etc for more money. still the moneys not to bad when you consider it's tax free, so in the UK you'll need to earn 40k plus to get the same cash in your hand. The rest of the embassies (HK, Moscow, Singapore) require you to be DV'd, this will be done for you, but as it's a very cushty job (4 days on 4 off and i believe a 9 on 3 off rotation) not many people are to keen to leave it.
