How come in this video of Chinese President Hu Jintao's bodyguards do the escort cars have their doors open? Is it beacuse they are just setting off or do they leave them open for the whole journey?

I'm thinking along the same lines as sutty that they are possibly armoured and it's not the ac it's just the fact that if the doors are shut and something happens - whatever that may be - they can get trapped inside. Of course you can't smash the windows to get out so, until they get really going, this must be their plan.

Thanks for your help. how come they are using BMWs not a Chinese manufactuer's car? And I thought the President's limo would be a lot bigger, like Bush's limo. Also, I wonder what they are most likely armed with?

they are using german cars because the chinese ones wont make it off the airfield without breaking down!!!!!!!
