Dear All,
I have been selected as a member of the Practitioner Group for reviewing the National Occupational Standards, (NOS), for Close Protection in the UK. Over the past 2 years since the implementation of licensing I have been lobbying for change to the Home Office, the Cabinet Office, Parliamentary Under-Secretary, the sia and Skills for Security. The responses have been somewhat varied from poor to non-existent. I am now in a position to again professionally put forward recommendations but this time will hopefully receive almost immediate actioning in line for the renewing of the CP SIA licenses next year. I have identified 5 key areas for change including that of changes to the current Accreditation of Prior Learning, (APL), and will put forward a proposal backed up with UK experience at the very pinnacle of commercial operations. If you would like to propose changes please write to me at: CPnos@nym.hush.com On a different note, I am writing a book, (not another one), on CP. This book will take the training and operational procedures in the UK and internationally in-depth and will fill the void and correct the mistakes other publications have made. I am, however, in need of phots for print. Any identifying features; faces/ VRN's etc will of course be removed. If you would like to forward good quality phots for consideration to be printed in what will be the leading publication in this field then please forward to the address below: CPphots@nym.hush.com Many thanks, Rich |

When are the standards due for publishing. I know from experience that this can take a long time from agreement - draft - Print.
Is there a scheduled time for print? Ade |

Well hello Rich H, I am on the board with you (should all the funding be approved).....No doubt our path will cross and I know those chosen want the same end product, standards worthy and a true reflection of the industry. Something has to/needs to be done so hopefully 'we' can hit the spot!!
Keep in touch.............. Anjee |
