How difficult do you think it would be to walk into a Championship league football ground at a time that it should be closed to the public when there is an event on later in the day.
Do you think you might have to give your name and have it checked off the list of staff? Do you think that you would get searched? Do you think that you would get your bag searched? Do you think that you would have to show ID? Do you think that you would have to have some form of uniform? Well, no to all the above. Walk up to security and say that you're working for their company. You then get told the supervisor went in that direction and wander off unaccompanied to find them. Supervisor then takes you to another area where you are left alone, (no CCTV) to wait, or wander about, or do whatever else you want. ![]() Considering that we have an alert category of Severe, you'd think big venues would be taking some simple steps to make things safer but apparently not. This is not an isolated incident, I've heard other reports for big venues. Very few places seem to be considering the threat of terrorism in their security procedures. |
