I managed to get a number for the reception and was put through to a manager who sent me one in the next days post, this after 3 request and numerous calls via the website number.

I'll try and find the number for you and post it on here

Here you go fella, this will get you to sia head office reception. I asked for sia applications supervisor and was put straight through. I do remember having to persevere with the receptionist tho as one of them was'nt very helpful and another did'nt have a very good grasp of English.

02070254100 Head Office number.

Good luck

He lads,

Waiting 3 weeks is quick, have had my application in with the sia since Nov 07 & have had to annoy them every month since, only just got the CRB clearance last week (I had to annoy them as well)

Be prepared for a long wait & endles excuses, hang in there & just keep harassing them, will post name of a couple of people I emailed at the SIA, one is the Assistance Director of Licensing or something like that. Let me know if you want them

Cheers

KSI

I went online 5 days ago and inadvertantly clicked the send me an application pack. It arrived on 2nd April. So the sia can pull their figers out when they want to. Just keep pestering them mate. I have been waiting nearly 5 months for my licence.

If you go onto the sia website you can request an application pack online. I inadvertantly clicked to receive a pack, and it arrived 3 days later, not that I need it. Just keep on at the SIA mate eventually you'll get some action. Mind you I am still waiting for my licence application to go through all the checks.

I sent my completed CP application to sia on 4th March 08 by recorded delivery; I telephoned the automated answering service on 4th April 08 to be told they took delivery of my application on the 29th March.
I telephoned the Post Office who confirmed delivery, (sort of) on the 5th March, BUT MY APPLICATION HAD BEEN RE-DIRECTED!! Where my application is, I don't know, where my private documents have been all this time I don't know, how long will it be before i get my licence - anyone's guess, what can i do? I will be sending my MP a letter but that maybe all I can do. Good luck! des
