KEVTHEMED will become famous soon enough
Yup, ive being a member since the beginning and have just renewed my membership.
I have found it to be a good association to be a part of.
I have also subscribed to the bba magazine and received the cheapest advertising for my company around.
Up to date/current jobs section on members area of website and i know of a friend who secured a job after replying to an advert.

Hi

I am a chapter Director for bba and our head Robin is doing a great job keeping every one informed.

There are numerous Associations out there and alot of them do nothing for you. BBA tries hard and is so far doing a great job

I'm also a member and there's a lot of jobs posted, although there have been a few innacurate/ended jobs advertised recently. But there is a lot of knowledge on there.

Sorry, but I have to ask... Who do you aim your advertising at? Potential clients or potential staff??

I wonder as I dont see many corporate heads of security, who are going to be responsible for hiring specialist security services, reading BBA's magazine.

When I'm looking to hire in a specialist seervice I tend to look in periodicals such as 'Professional Security' or 'SMT'...

As i sell trauma management equipment as well as offering training in CP medical skills. I aim my advertising at potential clients. The bba magazine may have a small circulation but it has brought in work, and at no cost for adverising.
This is only one of a half dozen places i advertise so i dont solely rely on this magazine for new customers.
As a yorkshire man im inherently "tight as a ducks arse" so anything that it free is always a winner for me.
I have secured a couple of bits of work as i said from the adverts and these have opened other doors in way of referalls.

I agree it is worth joining. Robin is doing a great job with it and it can only get better. Anything that makes our profession better, more respectable and helps people get on in the industry has to have a thumbs up.
We are the only ones who can make our profession better or worse which is why the likes of this forum and the bba should have our support.
