Hi Guys,
Can any one in the know tell me if the US is as saturated with new guys trying to get work as the UK seems to be. The reason I'm asking is I'm waiting on a green card and the CP work is one avenue I'm looking at. I am qualified and trying like everyone else to get as much experience as possible. Any info will be of great help. |

Yes US market is over flowing with guys coming back from overseas missions and trying to start there own protection and training gigs here. Sadly some I've meant are good operators- yet the business sense is lacking, so few are able to be very affective. That said many that started in the domestic US market and tried the hight threat PSD/CP market have done a little better. The long and short is Bagdahd and the Boardroom are not the same. Skills and operational mindsets for one are not needed for the other. Those that have been successful in both arenas have had something in common and that is extended time in both. Hope that helps. I agree with Tim on this, many people dont have the all round skill set required and thats down to personal training and goals.
As a Brit, having lived here for the last 7 years, there does seem to be plenty of well paid jobs, however, its a market that could be really utilized by those who are seriously business orientated and highly skilled within the Close Protection market. |
