That I am aware of, however I was team leader in the muftie unit in portlaoise prison in Co.Laois for four years knocking IRA prisoners about on a regular basis so I dont think they would be very inviting towards me.

When I left Ireland 12 years ago, firearms were illegal and unless the irish government changed the law in the last four weeks (last time I was home), they are still illegal.

I would be very wary of attending a covert firearms course in a country that has a history of terrorism and has a government and police force that is fixed on dispelling that image of the Irish and Ireland.

That is the reason I asked where, I have heard great things about Bob but I am concerned that anyone attending a course like this may find themselves locked up for a considerable period of time.

I am also wary of the fact that Grey has avoided answering this query? (not casting any doubt on Greys integrity by the way)
Anyone care to shed any light on the subject ?

You must not be very well informed on current firearms laws but firearms, properly licenced, are NOT illegal in Ireland, north or south, and that includes pistols.

I organised a pistol course in N.I last year and a few month after a range conducting offers course and had a few people from a shooting club in Wicklow attended.
