Hi Wolf,
In answer to your original question, get your
sia license... see who is recruiting once you have it and then ask around for what quals and experience is usually needed.
Most of all pump your cv out to the companies with a well constructed covering letter, if you have recently finished in the Mil then you must know someone who is currently out there with a PMC.... ask them if there are openings and try to network along those lines also.
This is often a question that pops up... networking is key to employment in many cases, remember that for AG there are on average 1000 applications/ CVs sent to the HR personnel per Month.... it often takes a good connection or a top notch CV to get a foot in the door.
They (and others ) generally ask for relevant military service (usually a recent tour), some HE experience... NI (when it was dodgy) Balkans (Kos and Bos) .. Iraq, Afghan, Sierra Leone etc etc... or relevant
Psd experience within HE within the last 5 yrs.... this is down to insurance reasons mostly.
In FCO contracts AG in particular will want some form of verifiable background in
CP within the last 5 yrs on top of a current SIA license.
My advise would be to ask the training provider what if anything they can do to assist post course deployment ... they should have something in the works.
Good Luck
