Hi Dude
and Hi Craig yeah mate i just got back from Lashkar Gah In helmand, even though the vehicles are Overt. the operators wear do wear rigs, but this time of year take your Rig and your Blackhawk CP bag with you, plenty of shirts and Northface/ or Cragg hooper trs or if you have any 511 kit even better, also take some no permy pens you will need em. you use a G36 HK and Glock 19 so order extra mags before you go out and have them sent to the location, bit tricky trying to explain why you have em in yer box, good gooches to have are some picitnny rails for the G36 in case you want to use add ons such as scopes or aim points as they are worth there wieght in gold if you have em. some Balistic sun glasses not kiddy oakley's get some decent Wilyx or ESS (Ice) and a decent baseball cap with no logo's, The job is good the teams are excellent, and has a family atmosphere, but if yer in Kabulwell just learn to bite yer tongue ha ha ha ggod luck, Stay Safe and please pass my regards to the teams out there. Brummie

They just issue a helmet and "england body armour" the rest you supply oh yeah take a Rifle Cleaning Kit, also be prepared to fill in a Staff in Confidence proforma that is released to the Afghan Govt?????? with personal details in the hands of the Hadji i was not very comy with. but you supply your own opersonal kit ie chest rigs if you want them. i just wore the issue armour and a shirt over the top. no need to go over the top it is very quet and like sleepy hollow. if you are in Khandaha (KAAF) its like an R&R centre, Subways, MacDonalds and has all the amenities. (Slipper City)
Lashkar Gar is small quiet and a sleepy hollow you get the odd vest bomber and the odds of being locked down are high, Kabul is different its nightclub city and resteraunts you are only required to taxi the client about, the threat level is there but minimal and you take the client out on your own. so if you have been to the "pit" Afghan is sedate a nice rest, if you are just getting into HECPO its a safe learning experience. personaly i "like it happening" and amongst it, oh yeah!!!!! there are a lot of Gear queers out there and a lot of WALTS. Hi Craig
the facilitaters job is one of co-ord mate. you will liaise with Bastion when the clients move from north to south organise sleeping arrangements and onward movements to there final destination. the guy at bastion is toppers mate and the contract manager in lash is awesome say hi to him for me. FAF is really cushy mate, they say you will be doing CP but in a small way ie: movement of clients from the fixed wing to the Heelo pads so they may move to the FOBS out there. all in all you will have plenty down time, Gym time, and take a lappy. thanks also for the testamonial mate, myself and morrigan have designed the HECPO to the requirements of the companies on the ground out there. to that end we know what they want. any inquiries are welcome and if you would like an info pack ill email or post to you? Brummie
