To be fair I did notice more British flags flying last year than when I left the UK 6 years ago. I guess people are getting sick of the PC squad saying you might offend someone for flying the flag.

All that crap about it being a symbol of the NF, well if people didn't stop being proud of flying the flag it could not have been hijacked by the far left. What I say is take it back from them, fly the flag, be it on the car, house or place of work. The more people do this then the more the country own it again as it should be and what generations have fought for the right to do.

Funny where I live not only are people proud to fly the flag of this country but also have no issue with migrants flying the flag of their homeland alongside without fear of recrimination.

Just think of it this way, if a person is too afraid to fly the British flag all they are doing is handing it to the BNP for them to use and do you really want that? Also if a person is offended by the British flag then firstly they need some education as to the real meaning of the flag (A symbol of the country that they chose to live in) and if they are still offended then maybe they should think about living somewhere else that they are proud to live.

It has never been or will be a symbol of the BNP, they just stole it through the apathy of the British public.

A member of my staff was stopped, by BRITISH POLICE for displaying the following vinyl sticker, 6 x 4 on the rear of his car:

BORN BRITISH & PROUD TO BE BRITISH, white lettering over the Union flag......

One officer stated it "could be taken for RACIST" the other said "good on ya"

Ridiculous, the tree hugging PC crowd gone mad!

Just think about our grandfathers who fought for the right for us to fly the flag, dam they would be turning in there graves if they new about this. What's our Country coming to it seems like we have to creep up to those and brown nose those who might think its offensive to them, racist and other wise. Give it some time then we will have to change our National Anthem to please others HMMM.
