Hi all - just thought I would add this to help out anyone who is stuck for work. KBR (FTX logistics) are currently recruiting for tank transporter drivers. This is a good opportunity to gain experience in operational environments, through a well connected company that operates in over 45 countries throughout the world. The job means that you will be classed as part of the British Army with all the perks and it will be a sound chance for you to make good contacts in various locations and with various personnel. The flexibility that comes with the job means that you can still take on CP roles to build up your experience. You will start on £25,500pa, but you will be expected to do an op tour once every 3 years and for that your salary rises to £39,000pa (for the year that you do the op tour. You can do more if you wish).

I realise that this is not a front line CP job, but will be a good opportunity for you to network and build up experience in other areas.

Here's a little more on requirments

Location is not important but a willingness to be flexible and to work away from home is essential. Work will be divided between driving the new fleet of Oshkosh HETs, and civilian HGV vehicles based in your home region. Applicants should be Qualified C+E (HGV 1) and have a minimum of 2 years experience and not more than 6 penalty points on their licence. Training will be provided (6 weeks).
Operators will be based from home and be required to undertake Military Training and become a Sponsored Reservist joining the TA (Territorial Army). From time to time, they will be required to go on Operational Deployment for which pay is subject to a 50% uplift.
In Peacetime, Operators will be based from home. Their primary task will be the movement of Heavy Armour for FTX Logistics on behalf of The Army. When not employed on their primary task, Operators will drive for The Best Connection clients in their local area.
You will become a full time, salaried employee of FTX Logistics Ltd with commercial work undertaken exclusively through your local The Best Connections office.
