Depends what for.....for instance, going on the piss immediately after a year of operational tours in Afghan/Iraq with no time off and smashing up the town because your mates were killed would be frowned upon, but not an automatic bar...

Putting a loaded rifle to your Sgt's head whilst he was sleeping and threatening to kill everyone in sight.....well, I would choose a different career IMHO.

Most employers ask for exemplary service and honorable discharge.

I would imagine that in general this would pose a problem... so many applicants etc ... difficult to get your audience to explain the indiscretion to the employers ....

My advice - be up front about it and gives those that need to make the decision an honest account if you are asked about it. As Shakespeare said, the circumstances will be the defining factor but I would advise against trying to conceal anything because this is a small world with enough ex-mil to know about the red book. I guarantee that somebody knows somebody who might know you. Be honest about it mate and be honest with yourself, if you know that the story would pre-clude you from trusted employment then be realistic in your expectations. I cannot overstate the importance of integrity in this game; mistakes are human and often understood.

Ok lads that is not "red buck" case. The circumstances are that after working for foreign military few years you are not satisfied end you leave, normal that brings you "dishonorable military leave", for them one leave ten come, end for you bad contract. But can todays recruiter understand that or not. Or they can still think that you will leave them to athwart you haw override few years in military what include oversea mission end you build slow your knowledge to work in high risk area ??
