Parra 88 yes mate.... there are a number of options, if feasible we can collect, if not there is a transfer service to Novi Sad via minibus at around 30Euro each way.

Para..from Germany, Frankfurt , Berlin and Munich there are about 3 flights per day to Belgrade ...which is 70km from us...the other option is to fly on sleazy jet , Ryan air etc to Budapest... get the transport to Novi Sad for about 30e or indeed depending on numbers the good chaps at Morrigans might be able to make pickups....

I am looking into the accommodation situation at the moment.... looks like we might be able to get it squared away for about 12 euro per night if the numbers are good. We could accommodate at the training area but it is a little in the bunghole of nowhere and would detract from the enjoyment as we are there to enjoy and not to train.

In addition we have started to invite a few of the local business people to the event... UK and US owned companies working here... and just for giggles we have extended an invite to the consulate and the RSO of the US Embassy.

Might as well add a bit of business with pleasure, after all it would be good for some of the providers to meet some potential clients. NO HARD SELL PLEASE!!! we have to live here after you go !!! I am open to format and suggestions but I am personally against it becoming a death by power point presentation affair!!! Informal meet greet , bring some company literature, we will leave it out for the business folks to take with them...I will hide in the corner like smeagle fearing someone might ask me something !!!!

In keeping with the social nature we shall only have the business personnel present in the afternoon and keep it to a wine and cheese type of event , 'little glass of pimms' etc and then we can let the games begin in the evening....

This way we avoid anyone getting minging and telling the CEO of US Steel that he is a knobber and offering him out....

Ill see what I can, I flay from Stuttgart to Beograd or Budapest, same thing at last in Beograd I will understand locals!! So dates are 30.8 until "if you like it you can stay!!" 01.9, or there is some changes? Any representing dress cod ?

Stay as long as folks like.... we are currently planning the company / business persons to attend on the 30/8 in the afternoon, so it may be necessary for persons to attend the previous day.... the piss up for the lads and lassies would be the evening of the 30th and if people want to stay a tad longer they can or if they need to trot back to work then go home next day hopefully with a list of good potential clients and of course a mobile full of new mates!!!

Maybe Shakespeare might want to attend and present his ideas for the new 'union/society' ....it could be a good platform to launch ???

Other security trainers could attend to discuss this idea regarding upping the standards in the training... turn the event in to a G8 summit for CP !!!

12euro per night accom? That sounds great! I personally don't care what it's like so long as it's got the basics of bed ond bog.

Transport from Bud to the venue, if there's a pick up, that'd be great, if not, I'm a big boy now and can find my own way (Which means I'll be whimpering on the phone, 3 hours after landing saying "I'm lost, I was hitchiking and was offered a lift by a big trucker, I'm now duct taped up in his truck and my Bum's very sore, please help) so long as I know where I'm going!

with regards transfer, if numbers and timing is good for us, we will organize, however we cant be hanging around the airport all day waiting on different connections so worse case. we will organize a pick up by a local firm ... runs at 30Euro each way.

Soon as we have peoples travel dates and times we will advise.

Yeah nice one! I'll have a definate on Monday as to whether I come over on the Fri, if I can't make the Fri, I'll come over Sat.

I understand about hanging around the airport all day so no worries, I'll just HALO right to the front door wearing all the black kit with CV in hand to impress the companies that'll be there! (I wouldn't normally do such a thing, but I've just watched a Chuck Norris movie and now I see where I've been going wrong career wise. Not enough dramatic entrances)

Maybe an invite could be extended to the SIA? It would be good for them to actually meet the types that they have such an influence over, and see what the realities are, get to understand the type of person that they represent? They'll probably turn you down but hey, at least you tried!

Sorry folks I appear to have got my dates all in a mucking fuddle... 31st will be the date for the meetings .. sorry for confusion, we have taskings on the 30th and I have had that date dancing in my head all day whilst prepping ops orders.

To be 100% 31st I will arrange the business folks in the afternoon followed by our own topics for the evening.
