as 24/7 sugested a few days ago a forum get together well morrigan have stepped upto the lecturn and grabbed the bull by the horns !!!!

Any further suggestions as to what we can achieve apart from putting faces to names and seeing whose scars are worse, are welcome. We dont want it too formal........ but if companies want to make some representations etc.... again lets discuss.

i for one see this as a good chance to network and for a little out lay there could be good returns.

Hi Silverback, the last weekend in August sat 30th sun 31st would be possible for me at this stage, unfortunately earlier for me is a no go due to work commitments. Later is also an option.
Reference other reasons for meeting, like morrigan said I am sure there are enough companies registered on this forum who might jump at the chance to show us a presentation of there Company or Skills/courses they offer. Obviously having 10 different companies showing us the same topic is also off the mark.
One company could show us Vehicle training another Weapons Training, Maritime training, Management training etc etc.

May be there are some guys out there who wish to share there experinces through pictures / Powerpoint presentation on incidents good and bad within the industry? just some points mate.

Everyone, if you're interested, I can arrange for the National Security College to host an evening/weekend/day........

We have the accom/food etc, we can lay on some activities if you like, force on force weapons training, use of vehicles, kit, meeting rooms, bar, unless it's better as just a piss up in a bar somewhere.

The NSC is a bit out in the bush though, very secluded, out of public eyeshot. Approx 2 hours West of London, an hour from the south coast, closest BIG City is Salisbury, nearest train station Tisbury. We will allow people to eat, in our Nuclear Bunker!!! def no noise problems LOL

Yes, we would be showing the place off for potential students, but the offer is there....

I am usually not into showing off too much so I shall let Marcus, Buck, Brummie, Eric, Gordy, Dale or one of the other chaps present away and I can sit merrily in the corner and get suitably toasted...

Dont care where it is held and thanks to Psd for the alternative... but well I errrrrrr prefer the ambiance and cultural sharing of the local fillies to that of a nuclear bunker .... !!!

Works usually quiet and if asked I can provide a friendly pub 200m from Stringfellows owned by a very good friend of mine. If those of us with companies put in together we can claim 'sponsorship' of event (FOOD SCOTCH CHAMPAGNE STRIPPERS..........) against tax !

Just a thought.

If its a go- no selling, just war stories , swinging lanterns and beery camaradarie..........and some ladies (diverity course demands I add men for the ladies and some more men for the naval fraternity!)

Seriously though I am a bit against the whole thing being turned into a hard sale, god knows we get enough of that here everyday ... how about a couple of days, on the piss , no strings, presentations, Blah Blah , my dog is bigger than your goat BS ... and just have a good old fashion meet greet and blow out... NETWORK, yes.... put names to faces , Yes... first one to mention courses, price drops , students and all that gets them in!!!

By the way after 30th Aug is good for me as I am up to nads prior, and you wouldn't like to spend all that time with Marcus???

Im upfor that, see about flights and work etc but I should be able for a couple of days at the end of August.

My Mrs and kids will be away on holiday then so I'm pretty much free!
