help breaking in to sector

hi my name is terry carter.
I am currently serving in the army and am aged 25, i am due to leave the army in 9 months and am planning to start a career in the CP sector.

my experience is very low due to some operatives but i will tell you what it is,
obviously soldier first, int cell NI, surveilance phot, recc platoon, sniper platoon where i am know as badged sniper 338 converted, i have served in Ireland 3 years and also done Helmand Province(green zone) as recce team 2ic, and am due on new Helmand Tour soon.
I am currently a l/corporal but am doing juniors in january, if there is anyone out there that can help me with courses i should do (sia licence will be obtained and planning on doing cp course with nemesis) and also would i be employable am i yhe kind of person people are looking for i really would like to work out the army but doing what i love so please give a dog a bone and give me some advise cheers.

Hi Terry,

Hope you are well, have a good look through this forum, there are a sh*t load of great posts and information along the lines of what you are looking for. At the moment, the industry is, to say the least, 'over staffed'. Having said that, you are due to leave in 9 months, that is around the start of the 'season' in CP in this Country.

Your op's experience will help on a CV submitted to some of the Companies operating in hostile zones, and if you look at some of the 'open source' info, the media etc, you will see that there is to be a major draw down of UK and US Military Forces from Iraq. The new Iraqi Army will not be able to fill all of these positions, so there will probably be some more contracts on offer over there.

Other than that, do what you are doing now, research and network, boost your Military Qualifications with some civillian ones and keep looking.
