I'm always amazed that reporters still think that a bullet in flight will make an adjustment to avoid them. Having the news logo on a mic or PRESS on your vest should work, right?

Fainting works just as well. The Turkish news crews successful utilization of ducking, screaming and backing out was impressive also.

I never had much use for a reporter in a danger zone, although I wish them no harm.

I once told a ride-along reporter that we were being shot at. She looks at me and says, "really?" I suggested that she keep her head down and I'll drop her off in a safe area. Thats when she tells me her boss wants the story. She had to piece together a story from a nearby convenience store. I had work to do, other than helping her get a story. And that was a police job, not even a military action!

From the targets point of view, it would appear that the shot was crossing from screen right, to screen left. From the placing of the round and the general direction of a light ambient wind, the firing position can be assumed to be directly to the screen right of the target.

The weapon of choice in this field of operation, presumably would have been the Dragunov SVD with an 800m capability. Bearing in mind that Russia has a good reputation for producing quality snipers; what proffessional sniper, with a proffessional weapon, would only leave a crease well away from a fatal hit area?????

Maybe, just maybe the triggerman was Ossetian or Georgian and the western press are trying once again to capitalise on another sensationalist story.

well to be honest scary video..could happend in all conflict regions, but remember both sides here is robbing and killing. And with a security detail YES ? Maybe things have gone the other way but could well have been even worse!

Since far from all security teams are professional
Normaly a white flag even for press, contractors is used or adviced to have and shouting press? It should be written all over the vehicle
Still if there is idiots shooting it dosent matter to have helicopter written on the car!
