After hearing so much about on how amazing their training system is and how they are able to do things in a way that many of others don't, I ask you this; I realise that training in there can be a bit pricey - my own research - if I manage to get myself in there, what would be the "must courses" that I should do and where? I came across some good companies so far, but I am just wondering if there're more out there that hasn't been mentioned in here yet.
Also, I want to live in the Middle East - my target is next year - if I come up to send my CV to a company in the Middle East and they see in there that I have been training let's say... Fire arms course in Israel... would that be a problem for me as everyone knows about how the relations between Israel and the Middle East region..?! I am asking you guys this as I am running out of options in here, I don't know if other countries got training credibility on Surveillance, Fire Arms, H.E. and etc... Also, is the USA a good place for those sort of training? Sorry for the long post guys.. thanks! Belfort |

Belfort,
What system do you mean? I have trained in Israel in Krav Maga and I found it to be excellent training. There are many different training providers training in Krav Maga and they are not all the same, some use different disarm techniques so going on just umarmed combat, there is not one "Israeli System" I assume that is the same for CP, Surveillance etc. Heno |

Belfort, the Israeli method is highly regarded, you can learn alot from their methodology and techniques, though it does not stop there, you must continue to seek and explore. If you are going to train in the Israeli method you must go to the source, look at it like this, the purest form is closest to the original source, the further you go down stream the more unpure it becomes. In a nutshell, travel to Israel if you want to learn from them, dont worry about the ME stuff, thousands of business people, tourists etc. travel through these regions both directions daily for legitimate reasons.
For Israel I highly recommend Eli at Hashita. (Our team and Hashita are great friends) Once you have built your combat mindset, you can look further afield, places and people like the Filipinos, Michael Gruner, Paul Vunak, Gabe Suarez, Brazil, and saturday night sauchiehall street glasgow ;-) For Surveillance look no further than ISS training, they are our associate partners, the content they deliver is 'top banana', taught by some of the most highly experienced ex forces / sneaky beaky types in the industry. Hope this helps.

We deliver Surveillance, counter surveillance and Surveillance Detection in Israel and abroad as used by government agencies (where ALL our instructors have worked AND taught).
Yes ET, Eli is a good man. Many of our students work in ME countries and have not encountered any problems that i am aware of. Hope this helps m Last edited by mts; 23-08-2008 at 11:21 AM. |

Is TASK INTERNATIONAL - Jordan and Switzerland any good? I've been trained by TASK so I am just wondering..
Event Management & Close Protection Training - Surveillance Operations & Resettlement Courses UK I think it's very important to a new CP to have a Surveillance course on the CV over firearms... that's just my guess, unless you are aiming to go to conflict zones (please correct if I am wrong on that one). But, then... wouldn't a company just pick someone who's being in the military for a long period over a CP who's just done a course..?! |

I'm just back from Israel. I attended a two-week bootcamp for international instructors with Eli Leffler. Firearms, Close-Quarter Combat, Surveillance, CPO work and much more. Excellent training! Eli is a great guy and extremelly skilled. The Hashita mindset covers much more than just combat and defense. It's a way of living, it's a way of thinking and it's a way of being. It's the state of mind required to survive in any kind of environnement.
I only have good words for the training I went through in Israel. Make sure you are ready to train long hours under the sun. Good luck! Francois M.
