Hi Welshman,

I personally believe that one need to use there initiative (brain) to deal with situations. But rightly you need to be fit to react aswell.

Depends if you are going for Psd CP (HE) course then yes, level of fitness is expected (check PSD training website there expect level of endurance from students on their psd course - which is good)

So it all depends on what course you are going for... I would say keep on jogging, pulls ups & press ups and you be fine.

Hope it helps a little

DH

Hi Welshman08,

Like DarkHorse siad it all depends on the course you are attending, however some people believe in the ethos that if your are physical fit you are mentally fit also.

Good luck on your course, hope all goes well mate.

Welshman08, like the boys have said, do alittle but often and find out if this is a requirement.I did mine 2 trs ago and I didn't do any fitness training as such, but we did the course and fitness was never mentioned. Healthy as it seems I still aint got no CP work out of it.

Without any malice; you might want to learn to write properly too. Literacy is an important skill.

Agreed.

Also, make sure you train your brain for "quick thinking".

Have to agree with Scab, to shorten words and use bad grammar in a text message you are sending to a mate is one thing, but doing so in either an email or in a public forum such as this makes you look unprofessional and quite frankly like a 14yo school kid.

You are an adult and want to do a professional job, I suggest you use proper English and good grammar!

Don't mean to offend you, just my opinion.

It is also childish to pick on and a little unprofessional and not to say bad mannered to pick someone up on a forum for their grammar too. And i suggest that possibly those who pay that much attention to the way a person actually asks a question may be nit picking a little too much. Grammar and spelling are obviosuly important in areas and yes it is rather annoying when people use text speak in an open forum, but is it really worth taking a shot at the guy for asking a question in that way. I suggest that maybe people aught to concentrate on the question in hand it was hardly illegible or childish.

Just my personal opinion, but it seems there are a lot of people on this forum lately who take more time to make an assumption and put a person down than actually help and answer the question posed by an individual.

In reply to the question posed fitness is a personal thing, and where there are those who feel they need to be at peak fitness to do this job there are those who feel it is acceptable to not bother or those who have a moderate standard. It is personal choice. I know when i did my course i was pretty much at peak of my fitness and it was tiring and hard but they did push us hard, and i admit i felt better because they did i would have felt slightly cheated had it been easy, but that is just me.

I'd say that every course has its own way of training and maybe you should talk to the trainers and ask what their expectations are
