3 Weeks to go

I've only got 3 weeks untill i do my c.p. course,I can't wait.

Is there any last minute tips any of you guys/girls could share with me in case there is something I have overlooked.

I'm nervous but in a good way,been in security for 19 years and keen to keep learning new things.

Here are some tips:

Go in with an open mind
Be ready to accept that after 19 years you may be told you are doing things incorrectly or may need to change (like taking a driving test after driving for some time)
Run, not because you must be fit for the course, because it will help you learn in the class, stay awake long hours and is an all round good way to be for this industry

Hi mate, the golden words there are "open-mind". Its time to be all sponge-like!! Just completed mine and as usual there was a 'rent a gob' type on the course as well as a quiet one who just got on with it........ guess which one has a job straight away????
There is a shite load of info about to invade the old grey matter mate, lots of fresh air and as early as poss to bed will help but above all 2 ears/1 mouth for a reason mate.
Enjoy it buddy........ cos the hard work starts AFTER you get your cert!!!!

i agree totally with what silent and mts have said soem may disagree totally with what i am about to say but i read The Modern Bodygaurd by Peter Consterdine before i did mine and i found it really helped me and answered some of the questions i would have had to have asked my instructors

Blimey..... me and Mjay are agreeing!!!!! The exam I did was the Edexcel qualification and 'The Modern Bodyguard' is now their recommended reading material for the course, well written and current. Money well spent....... nice one Moo!!!!

donny im right behind you 9th nov retraining after a long time here in the philippines as the guys and girls said open mind i know a lot has changed new training methods ect its time for this old dog to lern some new tricks

Don't be afraid to ask question even though you think that you may lool stupid for asking it. Fck it, everyone is in the same boat and the more you ask the more you'll learn.
