Hi Guys,
Im after a bit of advice about working in Close Protection, im looking at doing a a CP course after christmas with a company called Wilplan Training just wondered if anybody has done the course with this firm and how they found it? Im 24 years old and have been interested in become a cpo for quite a while but for various reasons not been able to untill now! the only real security experience ive had is door work from the age of 16 onwards before the sia licencing was introduced and have no previous army experience so i am quite inexperienced in this line of work but i am hoping the course will teach me everything involved! Also any advice on the amount of work out there and how easy it is to get contracts once qualified will be much appriciated! Many Thanks Manor. |

hi manor,
i was in your position 3 months ago, 25yo and had been working the doors for 4 years - no military experience. I did a course with Task International in july, 3 very long weeks, very intense but that the job ... definetly worth it though. Have recieved confirmation that my licence was granted this morning. Advice: Take your time deciding which course suits your level of skills (by that i mean a course that will teach you the skills you don't already possess) Take all the advice these people have to offer, very informative. If you decide to take the plunge and join us lot, you'll at least have a laugh if nothing else!! Stay safe M8, |
