Has anyone ever seen this knife before and can it really be used on a bayonet? It is said that it can fit together with a AK47 rifle. Maybe it is a copy of some old military knife that was used back in one of the wars? The website that it is on is * removed * I am wondering if it can fit on any other types of guns or rifles. Does it look like something that would be used by Chinese, Koreans, or Russians. Here is a link to the knives page * removed * and it is the knife with the number 406023 right at the top of the page.
Any help would be appreciated before I order it all the way from China

You can see where the muzzle would go, on the top part as you look at it on that picture mate. On some models (AKM maybe?) there is a folding Bayonet permenantly attached.
I never used a bayonet for real in the army and if I use one in CP work then something, somewhere has gone very wrong. |

Hi mate.
In reference to your post the answer is YES it is AK47 bayonet. However, it is very early version but not first which was AK model 1947 with metal sheath. In the early 50s each of former Warsaw Pact (WP) countries started to produce both AKs and bayonets on its own. That's why there are so many different versions of such a staff including very good quality products made in: Soviet Union, Poland, Bulgaria and rather poor ma in: China or East Germany (DDR). Than all the WP countries were using shorter version of bayonet, which when mounted with sheath made wire cutting scissors. Personally I wouldn't recommend this item but it is a matter of choice. But, if you really need a kind of AK47 bayonet try to find AK-SU which was used by Soviet Union Special Forces unit Alfa. It is not only a simple bayonet but also folder knife, with ankle mounted sheath, what may be an asset to use in CP. Best regards, ROLEX |
