Just to clear up any Misconceptions about how they are running low profile CP. Yes the vehicle's are civvie Bmw, Merc's etc, however they're not just some banger picked up from a local. All have armor fitted inside the body panels, floor plate, surrounding the engine block etc. Given the choice between a in your face landcruiser that sticks out like bulldogs bollocks, or a shabby looking, commonly available/used car by the locals i know which i would choose. Like sg1968 said no one can remember the last time a LP team was hit, if at all. Of course i maybe wrong, and i've asked for the casualty stats from the lads on the job. At the end of the day it's all down to personal preference, and doing what you feel comfortable with.

Off the top of my head Markb, the last time a LP team was properly hit was the Edinburgh Risk team on the BIAP. I run a LP company, we use cars as specified by Markb.

Good point to make Markb, peoiple tend to confuse LP with low armour.

Neither can I what was meant is that it doesnt matter if you are in soft skin, armoured, high profile, low profile if your EFPed it more or less history ,unless you are lucky.

Totally agree, if one hits you apart from jumping 10 foot in the air and spreading your guts etc all over the road the isn't anything you can do. The advantage off being low profile is that you don't stick out like a dogs dick and present an easily identifiable target, significantly lowering your chances of becoming pink mist.

Those guys a couple of yrs ago who got ambushed were low profile.Edinbourogh Risks i believe.There was incident further up the rd but they decided to have there own little cordon hence showing Insurgents they were a psd team...

That is the one and only low profile incident i can think of or have heard of.....
