I've recently signed up to this job site, and had a whole load of job detaild forwarded to me on a daily basis. Not many that are up my street but there are plenty that will be of interest to guys on here. You do have to pay a fee for the details, however if you register with them they will send you daily alerts for free, then if you chose to follow up a specific advert maybe you deem it worth the small fee.

Secure Aspects Group Job Board

I have certanly had more potential work from this site than any other. Tend to be worldwide and US based but a lot of them.

The problem is, non of us should EVER have to pay for finding work!

Too many scamming websites take your money and deliver nothing, So why should this one be any different at all!

I agree James that there are some web sites that are out to make a quick buck but there are also quite good sites on the net.

The point is that Rupert has went out his way to tell us about it which he really didnt need to do. So i thankyou rupert for posting and also thank James for your thoughts.

PS Rupert are you an Ex officer? 'I dont know if you are aware or not but 'rupert' is army slang/terminology for officer!

I joined this website a while back. Most jobs are for US citizens. My advice don't join and don't waste your money.

Yes I am; its also my nickname since my fourth birthday when my folks saw fit to dress me in a rather fetching pair of trousers.......you can guess the rest!

I didn't pop this thread here to "make" anyone fork out $'s to join in the hope of wasting money; I'm well aware of the scammers that are out there, I think most of us are; I was mearly pointing out that it is a resource that may be worth looking at particularly for those looking for work in the US or abroad, you can register to receive updates without handing any money over.

As for saying we should never part with money to find work; popycock! Sure in an ideal world, in most other industries etc, but this is not an ideal world; while there are a lot of jobs about equally there are more guys that "think" they are security professionals; its competative; in the modern world firms recruit and advertise in many ways and I don't think its unreasonable to have to pay for certain information; I'm not saying it should be the norm but neither should it be dismissed, it leaves us open to scams but then as individuals we should be swithed on to this and do our best to sort the wheat from the chaff.

In much of the work I have done in the past it has been necessary to pay "admin" fees to receive tender information or to join contact lists for closed contracts etc, this type of work is not that diferant, we just need to be very carefull not to get scammed, hence my mentioning this site.

From experiance I have had interesting results, and wanted to share that with members here. You guys can then chose what to do with that information.

Hi guys,

I totally agree; we have had course graduates sign up to the above mentioned site; the vast majority of jobs are for US citizens only or are doing the Iraq convoys which you can find for free on numerous UK based company websites... if that's what you're looking for.

I am Frank Sellers the Director of Operations for the Secure Aspects Group Job Board and Forum. I appreciate the input you guys are providing here. I do have to agree that most of the jobs we present are for US citizens and follow the US standards of employment for our chosen professions and are security clearance driven. Our sister site UKPSD.com will be expanding soon and may provide the services that better suit UK security professionals.

We spend hours researching jobs and in addition to paying for research and the actual side of web development I don't think that if you are in the job market 33cents a day at $10 a month is to much for the service, just to step it up a bit our next package is $49.95 for a six month period comes out to about 27 cents a day. We forward a list of Jobs to those who wish to get the mailing, mostly it happens on a daily basis and this is FREE, so its up to you if you wish to subscribe and read the post. We pride ourselves on not pushing sales on our members it is completely your decision to pay for the membership.

We have listed numerous jobs today including an American security firm hiring non US citizens for a security detail, it does come up but not that often. In order to Handle a Euro market we would have to expand our staff to meet the research and networking needs.

In regards to a scam, that is one thing we are not as previously stated the pricing I hope would make that clear. In addition I think we have one of the best High Risk Security forums on the net which is 100% free including resources that are posted and forwarded.

Should you have anything further you wish to discuss, or before making uninformed suggestions that we are a scam company contact me.

Frank Sellers
Director of Operations Secure Aspects Group

I understand guys sceptisism; but don't shoot it down if its of no interest to you or because there is a small fee involved. As said above, its a very small nominal charge; I'm sure there are guys from outside the UK who may find the information on the site of use likewise many in the UK looking for US based work - I know, I'm one of them, and there are plenty of contact on the site to this end.

Also worth a look is their sister forum ukpsd.com Networking the High Risk Security Contractor Community! more sandpit than exec security, but good advise on driving, firearms, medical, HE etc
