How do guys,

Just left the forcse after 10 yrs,infantry. Anyway looking for work I have emailed elle security and not heard a sausage and yeh I now work is hard to come by,any ideas,seem to be bangin me head off a brick wall,would prefer to work away somewhere here event work etc etc, you now the score guys,money is money I suppose.And yes I do have my SIA Badge too.Not interested uin Iraq or Afghn either.

In my opinion stay away from Elle Security. I know guys who have worked on a few contracts for them and it was a shambles.

thanks, been PM'd about elle security.Add a mate work for them and he adviced me to contact them,will debrief the mong when he gets back from the sandpit!!

If your not picky mate and don't mind event security try showsec they seem to be looking for people International Crowd Management and Security Group there is an application form on there fill it in they will get back to you.

Guys, I was somewhat surprised to see some of the comments ref ELLE Security. ELLE was set up to be an ethical company, trying to be different from the many companies that exploit the guys on the ground.

Many of our conractors have been in continuous work for 1 - 2 years, always paid in 14 days, provided with free certificated training and have even (this should strike a chord with at least one of your members) paying money to them in advance when they have had difficult times. Not many companies that would do that and long term contracts ( we are in the process of renewing one of the contracts for a further 12 months) are thin on the ground. The contracts are not glamorous, just hard work and steady money. At any one time we have had over 56 CPO's, primarily ex military, working on UK contracts.

Some of the comments have been made by individuals who have never worked for us - which is a little sad.

Regarding acknowledging cv's. it is something we try to do. However for a relatively small company we can receive up to 30 cv's a week and frankly it is not possible to acknowledge them. Every so often we reveiw them and those of interest are kept to one side for the next interview day. From the last two interview days, 5 are on long term contracts and 3 are on short term and will be joining the permanent team shortly.

We are not perfect - no one is. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and that is fine. But remember this industry is word of mouth - just be absolutely certain whose word and whose mouth. This is a large industry and a small circuit.

I have worked for Elle for nearly 12 months. I have been on numerous contracts for various different companies (including my own - moderator can confirm, listed on his database) since 1998, both hostile and non hostile, UK and overseas.

I, and the lads I'm working alongside have never had any payment or leave problems, in fact some lads were helped out before their payment was due.

I would like to point out that certain individuals should take up problems with the companies directly, and not through public forums such as these, remember these forums are open to any Tom, Dick or Harry, including Clients and ME gentlemen.
