Dog Handler Iraq??

Hi All,

Bit of a long shot but here goes, I'm a Search dog handler in Iraq and my contract is about to come to an end Anybody got any info on any companies recruiting handlers at the moment.???

I dont know of any job postings I am trying to get that type of information as well, that is the line of work Im looking for as well. If u dont mind , can I ask where u got ur Quals for dog handling from...u can email in private if u wish...maybe if we can get enough people in that line of work together we can strengthen our search possibilities.

You ex RAVC?You could try Aegis,Bluehackel there are a few us companys that use dogs as well or you could google them, and at a long shot theres Armor group.Good luck

I'm ex Army but not RAVC. Fingers crossed my contract might be getting extended by a good few months. The only thing I have found out here is that most companies prefer US handlers and the Brit one's are full and have waiting lists.!!! Thanks for the reply though mate

I used to be attached to the RAVC in Northren Ireland and ended up going out with on for 4 yrs lol glad to hear that it might be getting extended

So u r saying that US companies r wanting US citizens only....just like when u apply online for a job with an american company they say US citizens only need apply..? what comany r u with now?...is it Brit or US ?

Hi Mate,

I work for a UK company and they only employ Brit or Fillipino handlers but all the US companies only seem to take US handlers. I have heard that DynCorp might be changing their policy on employing Brit's but only time will tell.
