Placement Companies Warning

Hi Guys

I know this topic has surfaced numerous times on alot of forums. Never thought it will surface in South Africa. Again we have companies offering or saying they have contracts but before you can do the contract or even be interviewed you must complete a course.

As far as what I have read from numerous people this is normaly the exit point for a company. Never to produce these contracts only to take the money.

Is it only me or if you have a contract then if the CPO requires aditional training do it free for then as you get profit from the contract, or just simply do not employ under trained staff.

Would like to hear comment on this thanks guys

Good and thanks for the heads up..
Companies that offers work after a course is scams anyway..since their is absolutly now guarantee that you have what it takes I mean the student, first after the course you know if youre suited for this work..and then its networking, and more training for life...
Nothing comes easy then its not thrue..

Hi not all the companies are scams, quite a few clients insist employees complete a HECPO course before employment. This was because in the early days of iraq/afghanistan a lot of companies employed cowboys, this resulted in certain companies getting a bad rep and quite a few operators badly trained were killed or injured.
Not all ex military can walk in to a psd/cp role in a high risk enviroment.
Control Risks insist all future employees complete a HECPO course before employment.

Yes youre right some companies want you to train with them before a deployment this I accept fully, however when companies guarentee work after a completed course thats another thing still nobody now the outcome in performance and level of skills..

HECPO course with CRG, yes but thats just because I would recomend people to take CRG before anyone else due to that they are a huge internationaly recognised, and that is also not just for training CRG being one of the worlds Top risk management companies and they have work...
And we are all into this because of that the bills has to be payed in the end..

I agree with Outlaw. Not all companies are scam's some companies require some sort of training or team building before the contract starts. But some of these guys advertise positions and never fill them.

CRG and other larger companies have already some sort of agreement in place when you start the course and you have a better chance of getting the contract.

Also if like I said you have a large contract and you want to update or refresh some knowledge do it for free as your profit margin is large you can get some sort of free training in without charging the Operative. Make an arrangement of 4 days no pay but contract is sealed.

There is numerous companies that have great intentions and other just money seekers. I know the company name in SA but due to profesional curtacy will not bring it up. Some suckers will get knocked but soon the market will know.

I've already had 2 companies moaning at me today.
