Safer Access (Safer Access - A Network of Humanitarian Security Expertise), a British not-for-profit, is looking for a qualified individual to fill a Humanitarian Security Advisor role for an international non-governmental organisation (INGO) with offices in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
In close co-ordination with the Field Managers and the Logistics team, the Security Adviser will be responsible to manage the implementation of safety and security measures, using appropriate humanitarian security strategies. He/she will ensure relevant staffs in all field bases are trained on security management, with a focus on procedures and security information management. He/she will ensure security plans are all finalized for each operational area of intervention. He/she will be based in Goma, with approximately 60% of his/her time traveling to other field offices in the East and, if required, in Mbuji Mayi and Kinshasa.
