Hi all,

Yep got it on good authority from guys actually out there on the ground that Dyn. are hiring. Seems they have renewed their contracts for the coming year and due to natural progression/turnover they are hiring. Be aware though Dyn. is mainly american (especially the PSD/State contracts) however they are known to take allcomers especially with hostile environment experience under their belt. Also for recently returned guys, MNFI or DOD cards are always a foot up.

The selection criteria is a little stricter then most, mind you not as bad as CRG's but they do require a lot of docs, meds and fitness tests/details etc.

End message...

They were requiring personnel to complete a pretty tight in country training section as well at one point , the rotations were a bit of a tightener 12 and 2 I think... but works work and cash is cash!!!

Yeah the rotations are a bit sad, especially seeing as you can get 6 on 6 off with certain postions and mostly 8 and 4 with the bulk of companies out there at the moment. I have been in touch with a few mates out there on the Dyn. shark teams and they love it. Even though the rotations are annoying the end result is its not convoy work with the likes of AGI or Hart. TMC is another that fits in that convoy group as well. Ask any ex convoy lad how many mates they have lost and I can almost promise you its more then one (sorry to be a sad sack guys but reality is convoy is the most dangerous game going at the moment especially now its silly summer season out there and I advise anyone who is considering convoy think long and hard about it).

Mind you all you brits would love the longer rotations due to the strict tax laws you guys have, or means you just have to take more overseas holidays on your leave...lol. Nah in all seriousness Dyn. have a bit of a push on at the moment, apparently a 1 June start for in country training but rumours of more on the way. My advice; fire your CV's off to as many as you can, its getting tougher again for new guys coming into the trade out there as there is now a large base of guys with 3-4 years experience jumping out of jobs and coming back in 6 months later. Experience does count for a lot, but enthusiasm and ability also goes a long way.

Listening OUT.

Im not going to say Im spot on with this, just what I know through my mates that work for Dyn. Me Ive never worked for them.

As far as I know fitness test involves a short run wearing body armour (I believe its 400m) and carrying weapon to be completed in a certain time. 2 mins I think. please correct me if Im wrong someone...lol

As for the medicals just the standard meds (as far as I know), ie jabs and stabs, no ongoing med conditions, ability to work in hostile environments etc. Full dental as far as I know.

All this (apart from the fitness test) is standard for most companies out there. I do agree with some form of fitness abilty as Ive seen big ol boys who wouldnt be able to carry me if I was injured etc. You got to think of it like that....can you pick up/drag someone under fire possibly a couple of hundred metres out of a kill zone..? Just my thoughts...
