Guys not knocking Global but they have a habit of collecting cv's prior to bidding for contracts. A while back they told me I was deploying to Afghan on a new contract they had just won when in fact the contract hadn't been even put out to tender.
If they had mentioned this first then fine at least you know where you stand.

had the same problem with them 2 times alreday.
And once i got fired by them 3 month before the end of my contract because they have lost it.
so they promissed me a deployment to afghanistan this was two years ago.
STILL NOT DEPLOYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but you never know because im just so useless that hey wanted more money from the client
(was the reason for loosing the cotract).
Send your cv's in guys but be carefull with what they teeling or promissing you.

its just that im looking for work and this point comes up when chatting to mates and some companies who have done this.

A lot of companies will do this before the bidding for a contracts if it comes off they then dont have to start chasing for blokes, they have a possible list there ready. Also some clients want to see cv's off potential blokes to be used on the contract.
I stress this is only a rumour as I have not been able to confirm it be other means but Global have won a new contract for Afghan. Can anyone else out there confirm this.....

Hi all, yes they can be a pain, but this time at least, they have just won a Contract in Asscrackistan. I have also been told that they have quite a few people on the books already, but hey, as they say in the Lottery, you have to be in to win.!!
