Security Officers (UK ) - Posted: 24/06/2008

Securewest International are seeking applications from candidates to conduct onboard ship security services for commercial and military clients on long term contract worldwide. Security Officers will be responsible for all security requirements of the vessel whilst loading in port and whilst at sea. All candidates should be former members of the armed forces with exemplary service records. Maritime experience will be an advantage. Full training and uniform is supplied. Some contracts require full weapons qualifications.

Initially saw this and thought against it however I then saw the full spec for the position. May be the right position for a member,

Morning all

With regards to secure west,the pay isnt the best,but if its experience your after then its worth doing.pay is about £68 per day self employed?

Hmmmmm £8.50per hour.... Seems a "Big ask" for small return. It is not like you'd be stocking the tins up at Asda...

Apologies for the short post before, I applied for a position with securewest,got the paperwork through and was very surprised to see how poor the pay was. And some work was armed. And being self employed was even worse
